This is a settled, central Gold Coast family suburb, a practical base west of Southport rather than a beachside address. It took shape from the 1970s, with most of its detached brick and brick-veneer homes built through the 1980s and 90s on streets like Cotlew Street, Currumburra Road and Wardoo Street, and townhouse and unit infill either side of Southport-Nerang Road. That build-out era shapes the electrical work here more than anything else.

The original 1980s and 90s switchboards predate modern safety standards, and plenty of the older detached homes still lack safety switches on every circuit. Humid subtropical summers push sudden load and the occasional surge through the Energex network. Whether you are near the TAFE campus on Heeb Street or the state school on Currumburra Road, the fix is the same: work done properly, to standard, and left safe and sorted.
